2008 WH swirl motor problem

Hi all,
after about 2 years and a few thousand km from the modification of the 4.7k resistor, the ETC light came back on and the Jeep is again in limp mode...
could the bypass be broken ?
some advice ?
thank you
Giacomo

Hi.
So you have CEL and ETC light showing?

Have you scanned for codes?

It could be the resistor has failed or come loose. For what they cost i would just try another.

Can you come back to us with the trouble codes?

Hi.
That is odd. If the Jeep has gone into limp mode i would expect a trouble code. Is it a good quality scan tool you have used? Some cheaper scan tools will not read jeep specific codes.

You could try a new resistor for the few pennies it will cost.

When i had issues with the swirl motor i had a P1270.
