'04 WJ 4.7ltr Grand cherokee ltd

Hi Guys,
New to jeeps, I have always wanted a CJ7 but with more than me to cart around, the GC will be it for a while.

I am currently in Oman (middle east) and the AC seems a little useless compared to the jap cars. You get cold air out of the middle and cool air from the left side(driver) the right side (passenger) is blowing air, not cool, not hot.

You can guess that in this heat 45+C it gets sticky in the car.

It looks like the blend door is activating as I can switch from hot to cool on both sides individually, i can switch from fresh to recirculated air and can see all the parts moving (removed glovebox).

Also water drops onto passenger feet, checked drain and that is not blocked, water pouring onto ground behind front wheel.

Any ideas and help appreciated,
Nick.

hi doc welcome

Stock A/C drain isnt very good, find bit of hose to slip over existing pipe to extend it a little.
As for not getting cold , this is probably due to low gas or blocked expansion valve, need to take it to a licensed A/C repairer.

Thanks guys,
Turbomart, yeah I hear a gurgling , bubbling sound when driving with the AC off, so I guess it needs a bit of gas.

Nick.
