I got the exhaust all repaired and put an extra hanger to the top side of the exhaust to prevent it happening again....

You should read the other light bar thread. We determined forward facing light bar and spotlights need to be wired to the high beam. They then need to be independently switched

So it's confirmed, you need to wire it to be switched via the high beam.

You can have a switch inline with the high beam to allow them to be operated separately once the high beams...

And if the light bar is forward facing it needs to be wired to the high beam AND independently switched in order to be legal. Otherwise you're able to turn it on...

Best way is to get a H4 spotlight harness that hooks into the headlight high beam to make it legal.
Run the wire under the cowl and up beside the windscreen.
