How to flush cooling system?

Does anyone know the best, quickest and easiest way of flushing out the cooling system of a 2001 XJ Cherokee VM 2.5 diesel? It's full of brown sludge (the overflow bottle) and I don't have the money...

Sorry for my late response. Your information is great and I'll follow up on all these things. Interesting about the throttle maybe backing off at full power, with the gas turned off, if feels like it...

Thank you very much for your advice. Poly 4X4 told me after plugging their scanner in that I could do with a new oxygen sensor and new fuel sensor, so not sure why they said that if it only has one...

Hi all, new poster here.

I tried to get a quote from Morris 4X4 for fuel and oxygen sensors, fan clutch and fan belt for my 2001 XJ 2.5 VM diesel.
