certain way is to disconect the front...

certain way is to disconect the front driveshaft....takes about 20 minutes....if all runs smoothly, then coupling is prime suspect......cheers......kim

it IS a 42RE and the filter is exactly the same...

it IS a 42RE and the filter is exactly the same as the old 727 box, (around $8 from most trans shops),.....gasket is 42RE specific and i recommend adjusting both bands while you have the pan...
