hmm thanks for your input much appreciated so does that mean you roughly go about over 700kms on a full tank if you calculate it as 10ltr/100kms on a 70litre tank.. i think i might go the Diesel way....

I have 25,000 km on the clock and I consistantly use 8.8l/100km. That with a 2.5 turbo diesel. That is a combination of city and country driving. It may be slow off the mark but you get there...
