Mine has done that intermittently for the last 140,000 ks using MOPAR ATF+4, its the transmission and tcm more likely. We dont think that chrysler actually develops its own fluids do we?

Mileage os low.
The the chip is probably causing the extra smoke, more probable if it doesnt also modify the airflow, you may be getting hi egt's at times too. Lots on this and the lost tech forums....

Careful, I think the manual suggests a maximum pressure test for static pressure of something like 20 psi doesnt it. But if you made it to 50 psi then its got to be pretty darn good :-)
