You would be better off with 265 wide tyres and a basic lift kit. The extra clearance is very helpful in a wrangler.

Removing axles is easy. Don't think since they are out you might as well upgrade. Replacing both unis would take a decent mechanic 2-3 hours.

I personally wouldn't get RCV axles buy a spare set...

Jk chassis is amply strong enough. Jk suspension geometry is a lot better.
