An update... problem solved, the seat side...

An update...

problem solved, the seat side panel attachment point had failed, displacing the wiring which was fouling the mechanism..

A quick realignment and epoxy glue later all good...

Im about to replace them on my 2009 WH. The metal valve stems failed on one of them - a slight leak. The sender still worked, but you need to buy complete valve stem/sender unit.

Your rpm @ 80kph is about right. Mine is doing 2000 rpm @ 100kph.

Fuel consumption at that speed is a bit high tho, but not excessive IMO. I would expect about 10l/100km at that speed.

Does the sound get worse when on full lock? that was hub bearings for me. Sound was more of a "clack" than a "tch" New hub assembly cured it.
