I can't see how it will bind... The Y arms are now fixed in position and the angle in that point won't change during articulation. The only change of angles is at the chassis end.

I was worried too... we cut them on an angle back towards the body so they wont get hooked up... They actually stick out less than the ones cheezy racing make. It was a consideration.

there's no way you can fit 33's without trimming...

there's no way you can fit 33's without trimming the guards... and extending the bump stops.... and re-gearing, so you don't break axles etc..

It's a HUGE leap getting the XJ from 31's to 33's......
