Thanks Murray - there isn't space to hook a bar in that position. It is a narrow end, and there is no space between the bar and the body. Is there another way to do it?

Trimmed the rear guards. Extended the rear bump stops. Modified the bumpstop drop mounts to give extra clearance for the Tough Dogs. Wheeled it.

Mine has around 260,000km and the shift solenoids are a common problem in the XJ. I didn't replace the OD/lockup solenoid, just the two shift solenoids.

It did shift manually, but when you have it in 1-2 position it would be in 1, and then as soon as you move it to 3 it would shift to 3 so it would skip 2 and not automatically shift between 1 and 2...
