Welcome to the forum, you'll find there is a lot of info on the CRD within these forums. The transmission that is in your car is the NAG1/W5A580 (think the model names are used interchangeably.

Shes definitely operational, as unplugging it throws up all kinds of codes, but it does idle without it. It would seem there something in there that's tapped into the TPS as I got the throttle error...

Took it out for a wheel and it performed well with the auto no longer slipping now that it had a new filter installed. Had to plow my way up a rutted hill with the rear diff carving out a nice trench...
