I adsolutenly hate 4.88's with my front auto locker. When your trying to get up a steep climp thats loose or muddy, heading it lock in and out with big clunks and bangs isnt pleasant!!

Why didn't you try clocking the end of the winch to have the clutch lever come out underneath? Mind you that isn't a bad spot.
