I run the MT/51s on my cruiser and love them....

I run the MT/51s on my cruiser and love them. Only done about 20k kms so far and have hardly worn at all. Great grip and quiet on road and good off road. Good price too. Am very happy with them.

Not quite sure why you want to change the wiring when all you would need is a wire from the high beam to trigger a relay.
Your main power source would come direct from the battery for driving lights.

It will offer way more protection than the standard one either way.
