I got a battery tray from Piranha which mounts above rear passengers side wheel arch. I use a Baintech Powertop and charge it via an Anderson plug. Works a treat, the battery is out of the way.

I give it a try as nothing else I've used seemed to work and the guards. I scrub my soft top with a broom and car wash and it gets it pretty clean.
