Test drove a Grand CRD, Prado, and Pajero, and considered the 76GXL.
Grand had the best engine, Prado the best fuel tank, and Pajero the most features for the cheapest price, and a/c isn't even standard on the 76!!!!!
Considering the hassles I am having with my JK at the moment and the lack of any solution from the dealer, plus all the problems a mate of mine has had with his Commander - that ruled out Jeep (plus the absolute crap trade in they offered on our Territory - $3k less than others - and that is after buying 3 cars previously from that dealership!!!!!!!)
Prado's are so common and you pay a premium for the name.
The Pajero had more torque than the Prado and 76, better warranty than all of them, more features for less money, will do everything we need in a 4wd, and has a good reputation build quality wise - so it won - easily!!
