I have had a piece of 4mm plate made up for my Rubicon.

3/ 45 degree bends, 30mm, 110mm, 110mm, 30mm.

Does not fix to the bar at all. I have used the original cross member, fixed with 5/ M8 bolts and lock nuts. The guard is very solid, it is wrapped around the sway bar, no catching in reverse.

I also made up two braces out of 40 x 10 flat bar, going behind the sway bar up to the chassis. Holes tapped into the chassis (M10) stop any folding issues when under compression.

It is off at the moment for a re-spray, will try and get some photo's on refit.

Strengthened up a replacement cross-member as well.

I have also bought an auto cross-member to protect the exhaust pipe.

Next project is welding slivers of pipe around some of the bolt heads to protect them from being damaged.

Work in progress!!!
