Auto diesel is a great combination. Works well on road and works even better off road. The low down torque is great and means that is simply idles around a lot of tracks where a petrol engine would be pulling far higher revs so it always feels so relaxed and effortless. The only thing I would change if I could would be to add a manual select for 3rd for the slightly faster trails where 2nd isn't quick enough but you still don't want it in D but other than that I can't fault it.
