Slightly off topic, but was just chatting to my brother who builds and mods in NSW and everything is always engineered (he loves sticking V8's in things...).

Anyways, his comment was on the Police's credentials to defect a vehicle. The law states apparently that to check a vehicle for compliance (not talking bald tyres here) requires a workshop (which can be mobile) and a QUALIFIED mechanic operating it. So for a police officer to get out a tape and measure your lift or your tyres is actually illegal! Try and tell them that next time one is going over your pride and joy
