I drive a 2 dr and b4 I began to mod it I went out with a bunch of crazy Jeepers mostly Rubicons.
mine is a poverty pack 2dr - I had to snatch a 4dr Rubicon because it was bellied out - me no diff locks - Rubi diff locks the only discernible difference that I could see was wheel base.
The old argument is
Longer wheelbase is supposed to to equate to better ability to climb - especially large steps.
Shorter wheelbase is allegedly better clearance and ramp over angle.
I Wheel a lot with pootrols and landscrapers - their achilles heel is;
1. Weight - way to much of it!
2. Clearance - the belly out quite easily
3. Pumpkin clearance - their huge diffs mean that when they are running 35' muddies they still bearly have the same pumpkin clearance as a std JK
I drive a 2dr because I like the look of it!
I drive a 2 dr because I like to jam my 2 tall boys in the back and make them jump in dukes of hazzard style - over the back wheel in through the side plastic windows! lol
I drive a 2dr because I hate to belly out!
I drive a 2dr because 2drs are the real Jeep iconic shape and they look better with roof and doors off (no offence 4dr guyz - I love em too just not as much)
I drive a 2dr because it is lighter and can scramble through mud better.
