The AX15 will bolt to the D300 (Same bolt pattern) though not sure about the output shaft length and the clocking of it.
re: Nissan diffs, If you are keeping leaves, you will need to either outboard the springs on the chassis or cut into the pumpkin to mount the spring perch. The GQ/MQ chassis is alot wider than the CJ7. Toyota FJ40 diffs are a close and have been known to bolt into the stock location (though the rear diff is ofsfset not centred for a D300, but you could go with a Hilux rear diff to suit.
