I agree with you for a TJ. But these aren't TJs. JK does not have a tub structure like the TJ and there's alot more weight to deal with. 2 door would probably get away with using just body mounted armour but a 4 door might not. The way you'll notice things change is the door gaps begin to shift, particularly the lower gaps get tighter and the quarter panel bends upwards to meet the hood...but hey it can't happen

the biggest issue I see with barwork is what people consider hard use. different expectations, different results, different products required.
