It's not that bad drover but I know what you mean. In reality you could make the shunt up with the 2 EGR wires with small spade terminals on the end if you could find some small enough to hold in the plug then you only have to splice into the MAF signal. Would need to make sure you could seal the plug connection so they don't work loose but that would mean only 1 soldered joint. I tossed this up but decided not worth the effort. Tapping into the EGR wires is easy, slightly harder to open the loom to get access to the MAF wire but not difficult. You can tap in anywhere but where I did it meant the lo easily deals back up and externally visible wiring.
