Copy that. Anyone over about 40 probably spend their fair share of pre-seatbelt time sliding about on flat vinyl bench seats.
But for my kids (6&2) we have the S&S seats, both with good padding. Sorry no idea on the model. but they both have removable layers so as kid grows you remove some.
Also I am a believer in keeping them in the 5 point harness as long as possible - which should be based on how long they fit the harness. But you need to ensure once they are too big for the correct harness that you stop using it (an incorrectly adjusted harness can actually do damage like compressing spines).
