If they cant do it without charging you for new axles then definately go elsewhere. To be honest I think you would actually have a case to get them done at no charge (axles that is). You should not have to buy whole new axles because the manufacturer decided to change design. Spare parts (referring to the unis) must be available for a minimum period which from memory is 7 years after the end of a particular model run.

They are probably a very standard sized uni. All you need is the cup diameter & end to end distance. Then get a parts guy to look up the Spicer number.
if you get the Spicer number, best post it on here for the benefit of other members.
Just had a look, there are 3 likely unis, just need to confirm measurements.
