I know there are logistics with 2 different patterns Dave but if you are poking your tubes through the bar and welding from both sides maybe you can have the 2 patterns with and without holes. To me the integrity (in both actual strength and brand recognition) are compromised with bolt on tubes. There is a reason why only the likes of Bocar and Toyota etc do ally bolt together bars. In your market but I would not buy one with bolt on tubes although I do like both styles with and without.
