Yes, there are g-force sensors in the body, also used to deploy the airbags. Also is able to sense based on speed and steering wheel angle what the sideways gforce should be and if the vehicle slides this will reduce the gforce and activate the ESC system decreasing power and applying brakes to the (I think) inner rear wheel mostly.

Sladey - any error codes coming up? I would take a stab at a wheel speed sensor error from either mud and crap in the rear wheels stuffing up the sensor reading or an issue with the cabling to one of the sensors
