Your right I should flush it, I've flushed autos before using a special machine designed to do so. I could remove a cooler hose and put it into a container, run the engine and try and fill the auto at the same rate. It could get messy.

I think it just dawned on me how the water got in....from the join in the dipstick tube, it probably needs a new o'ring. There is no water in the diffs/transfer and they all have breathers that run to.the same place.
