Wow I didn't know that there were design regulations for that sort of thing! But I'd say that even if it were technically illegal, I highly doubt that anyone would ever get pulled up for that. Now you've got me thinking about all those Merc and BMW suvs that never have mudflaps - just a full view of their massive fat boots (especially the X5s)!!
