I found that using an ARB locker and 32s/33s that the C-clips would wind themselves out and then the caps would fall out and it was game over. By using a dremel EZ Lock cutoff wheel and small grinding stone both in an electric drill I was able to machine the yoke ears as above to accept a 30mm full circle cir-clip. This has doubled the strength of the axle/uni. It is a bit of work but has been very effective. There is probably other ways of doing the same thing but I chose to take out the minimum amount of material so as the reduce any weakening of the ear. I have not had a uni failure since doing this. I still twist splines mind you.
