Ahh, that Euro spec bar the ends do go out further (an inch or two) and appear level with the edge of the plastic stock guards (unlike the US version that appears to fall short), plus it has the gap between the bar and the guard filled in, plus the ends are no longer open they have been filled in. That version would have been approveable for down here I would imagine.
