Mark,
My experience with fraser is stay at Cathederal beach or Happy Valley as both places are centrally located. You should only need standard tyres as they will perform better on soft sand than AT type. You will need to remove the front air dam for clearance but that exposes the radiator and washer bottle.Chief products are working on a guard for when you remove the air dam to offer protection for these. Lastly you will need a replacement bash plate for the front to protect the power steering hoses as the plastic one does not cut the mustard when you nose dive into soft sand as I did with my old WH GC and that had a 40mm lift kit. You can get these from Uneek or Chief products, definitely worth the money.
I have a MY14 Laredo with air suspension and absolutely love it, on the sand and road it offers the smoothest ride I have ever experienced.
