You will need to keep the FJ Cruiser 'on the boil' when towing, whereas the Jeep is a much more relaxed tow.
Check the figures below......more so, the revs at maximum power & torque: -
FJ Cruiser
Max power - 200Kw @ 5600rpm.
Max torque - 380Nm @ 4400rpm
Jeep Grand Cherokee 3.0TD
Max power - 184Kw @ 3600rpm.
Max torque - 570Nm @ 2000rpm.
The drive even when not towing is completely different.
