I can recall my t-stat housing gasket was the same. Thin smear of Permatex gasket maker on both mating surfaces and carefully putting the gasket in place seems to have done the job on mine without leaks. Just saying its not per se rendered useless. |
Yeah I know it not any more awkward than other vehicles I was just having a mini rant
I'll be sorting it out on Friday so hopefully will have a functional and non overheating XJ for the long weekend.
