I've been shooting Nikon for over 20 years. I like their ergonomics, the menu lay outs and the quality they build into every product.
What are you shooting mainly? Any specific or just general photography?
If you're happy with the lenses you currently have why not upgrade the body into the D7200? You're not learning an entirely new system, you current lenses and equipment will work with the new body and you'll then have the D70 as an "in case of emergency" back up.
I've found that I purchase glass, (lenses), to do specific tasks and they will generally out live the camera bodies. My 50 f/1.4D, 85 f/1.4D and 70-200 f/2.8 VR have been with me through my D100, D200, D700 and soon to be D810.
The Nikon 24-70 f/2.8G is only about 5 years old and the new Sigma 150-600S is about 4 months old.
I find point and shoot cameras to restrictive in creativeness and adaptability, a good DSLR can be adapted to suit any given occasion.
