Had my vehicle at the dealership yesterday, I have 4x4 low back again for how long I don't know, being a bit skeptical based on previous experience.

Anyway, wiTECH scan showed the FDCM had an active code C1438 transfer case diff clutch worn, and 4 stored codes:

C2109 Drivetrain Supply voltage Circuit Low

C1405 Transfer Case Range Position Sensor Circuit High

C1406 Transfer Case Brake Performance

C140F Transfer case Range Position Sensor Erratic Performance

It is thought that the active C1438 Transfer Case Differential Clutch Worn could be triggering the 4x4 low issue and activating the 4x4 service light.

As I understand it if the light comes on again they are suggesting that the transfer case will need replacing with either a new or reconditioned one.

From what I understand they are saying the FDCM is not causing the problem... as I have requested that it be replaced I need to take this up with customer service.

My thoughts are that if the stored code C140F indicated an Irratic Range Position Sensor, C1405 the Sensor Position Circuit High, the C2109 a low voltage drivetrain circuit that it would be questionable that the FDCM is causing these issues.

I'd be interested in any comments/advice.

Thanks in advance.
