Oh Forgot to mention in all this.
it feels like the wheel only is shaking. there is NO, i repeat NO shake felt through the steering when this occurs.
i got a small bar and tried to lever things on that side (ball joints, tie ends, trac bushing etc) and there was no discernable movement.
