Default Rear D44 flange removal

Any pro tips on getting the flange off a D44? Tried a bloody big hammer with some heat. Tried a bearing puller with a lot more heat. Pulled the housing out and stuck it in a ten ton press pushing down on the pinion with a shit load more heat.
