It is a difficult one and the mechanics I have taken it to are also just guessing. I have a friend that owns a diesel injector shop so will pop out the injectors and get him to overhaul them and see how I go.

What you should do is have him 'pop' test them. This allows him to look at the spray pattern & make sure they go off at the correct pressure. If they are bad on spray, new tips needed, if just low on pressure, they can be adjusted. A full rebuild will probably cost several $100 each. I am at around 340,000km on one of mine & not showing injector problems.
