Correct! From what I read from others who have installed the Rancho 2" kits, the front bump stop extensions are only necessary if you want to run 35" tyres with one of these kits. No need with 33". I flexed mine up without the extensions and didn't get any contact between the wheel and fender (285/70r17's), and have since done some hard flexing on trails with no rubbing.
