I just don’t see much advantage, the 247 is normally not delivering any torque to the front axle unless there is differential between front and rear tyre speed and even with a 242 selected to 2wd won’t save much as the front axle is still engaged. IMHO unless you can unlock the front hubs there is not much advantage.
