I used to have a 2012 Grand Cherokee and I reckon it would go more places than the the Hilux and do it in comfort. I took my Grand some places that surprised a lot of people, although it did have the off road pack and air suspension.
I think with a few mod's to yours you will easily keep up with the others.

It's great to hear from someone with experience in both vehicles, I do agree the GC is damn comfortable!
Just wondering, I've heard some owners fit 18" rims to their GC limited as it increases the availabilityof offroad tyres that are available, is there any truth to that?
