Travelled East to West last Oct Birdsville to Mt Dare.
JKU 3.6 petrol and used 118L petrol.
Very similar consumption to both the 200 series V8 diesels. All had RTT.
Carried 2x 20L jerrys, this with the 85L JKU tank had me arrive with 7L to spare. I knew others had more range and could make run for me if needed.
15psi tyres, Hi4 and crazy nuts switch to reduce the traction controls. Never got stuck and led the whole way.
West side of dunes was very lumpy by October.
