if its petrol, I think all standard diffs are 3.55, simple way, just count pinion and axle turns

my friend that has rebuilt uncounted diffs showed me several D35 diffs he had in his shop to rebuild, and showed and explained to me how the bearings become completely worn out, and need to all be replaced
Can you further explain this? I reckon my replacement d35 is just starting to make 'whooping' noises at 70kmh.... I'm gonna have to do something about it soon.

And anyone ever had a d35 rebuilt at a diff joint? If so how much would I be looking at? Round 1k for bearings?
