I believe all Petrol XJ's had ABS & I know diesels did not. For the update ones I am sure. For the pre update petrol I believe they had ABS as well.

I swapped a ABS rear end from a 96 into my non-abs '96
as the housing was stuffed
petrol come with or without abs
as far as I know, standard is 3.55 for all petrol,
count the turns ie 43/13 or watever it is, takes 5mins
