I know it's tempting to buy the $10 eBay ones, but from experience it won't work. See the information here:

No, it won't - at least not the WJ Diag Pro. It is only for the WG/WJ 2.7 CRD. The hardware might work but you will need different software. Try Torque Pro. It might work with the cheap eBay adaptor.
