I’ve been going through this process the past couple of weeks - eBay and gumtree. The problem is the space saver type spares for some reason are bloody expensive for what they are. I actually have one from my past Q7 which was written off in a Flood. It is really heavy and you need an air compressor available to inflate it.
The option is find a suitable sized Ford rim with correct load rating and put a cheap tyre on it but yes you still have the storage situation.
