So I have the CRD model which comes with Selec Trac vs. the Quadradrive in the V8.

I wonder if I can use the Quadradrive diff carrier in the CRD having then a Quadradrive, which supposed to be better (at least what I was reading in other forums).

I cannot see any indicator that there is any electronic component involved and the axles seem to be the same So I guess i comes down to the diff carrier. Unless the Selec Trac is part of the transfer case.

I still have a Dana 44A axle from my old V8 donor Jeep and wanted to weld a truss on and then install it (with new gear ratio). If the Quadradrive diff carrier would work I do not have to uninstall the existing but can drive it till I swap the entire axle.
