Default I am nicking off up north...

Well I am finally almost set to get myself up north for a month or two. I was finally able to make a campsite booking on the Arnhem Land (Macassan) just 35km south of Nhulunbuy. I could not get a booking come hell or high water for ages and believe me I have been trying. Nearly everything booked out on eastern side (did not look to the west side), nothing in Nhulunbuy, and then this morning lo and behold there it was a space that I could book. So I did and I am over the moon I can tell you. Can't wait. I guess everything does come to those who wait.

Planning to go Melbourne to Mildura, visit Murray Sunset NP on the way then follow the Darling River run to Bourke. I have done this before but when everything was very dry so will be interesting to see what all the rain has done. From there to Cunnumulla and on to Currawiinya NP, across to Tambo and St George (I will definitely stay at BOLLON) and then to Indalia NP. Then to Winton and have a look at any new dinosaurs that I can find and then off to Bladenburg NP. Eventually on to Mt Isa and head up north and do second visit to Lorella Springs Staton and Adele's Grove and the Lost City (I have seen these before but in the very dry and I will have some time to kill until I can set up in Maccassan.

Will definitely do the walk trails and sight see around Nhulunbuy etc and on the way home spend time in Nitmiluk and do the trails there.

I expect about 10000km and $5000 in fuel. Be gone about 7-8 weeks.

Will post pictures and trip report when I am back home.
