I have had 2 300D's, a 1980 update & a 1985/6 last of the w123's. The older one did over 2,000,000km. Great cars to work on, nothing goes wrong with them as long as you set the tappets once a year. Those iron headed diesels just kept on going. I have a pile of worn out disk pad backing plates, must be a foot high. I also have a 250TD w124, not as good as a 300D.
